Growing Older

It just hit me how much I have changed in the recent years … with every passing day, every passing hour, every passing minute and with every passing second I become a little … older.

Gone were the days where you can be carefree … your only worry would be to pass your exams, have a good relationship with your family and friends, and possible relationship problems. Everything seemed so difficult - growing pains I think they call it.

Now you grow older, you are still plagued with the same stresses - passing exams (well for me anyway since I am pursuing another degree), having a good relationship with your family and friends, and possible relationship problems. Somehow, you tend to take those stresses in stride - whereas you would probably have hit rock bottom if all of those stresses hit you all at the same time when you were younger. Its different now … not that it does not affect you, but it just doesn’t affects you quite the same way. You note your stress, your pain, your worries … but work is work, you still ignore everything else when you work. How come I couldn’t do that when I was studying? Could have helped my grades quite a bit. haha. Oh well.

I guess what I am trying to note is this … as one grows older, one’s perspective on anything and everything changes. And the best part is, when you try hard to recall, you won’t remember how it happened? Perhaps this is called maturity? In many ways, I still need to mature of course … but I think … I am doing alright now.

For those (you know who you are) who has helped me through the growing pains, I just want to thank you for all you have done. I am happy now. Thank you.

Heh, as your grow older, the problems are getting more. Not only bout exams, friends and family, but your marriage, house, car, work, childrens, in-laws and others. Alot more to come as we grow old.

Sighs, how I wish Peter Pan would bring me to their neverwonder land (Is it the name? I am not too sure.) and live as a kid forever.
